Xbox Insider Fall 2017 Update: Alpha Ring

There’s  nothing like trying an update first hand before released to the masses. At 6:30am this morning I became one of the few to try the new User Interface via Xbox One Insider Alpha Ring. Different? Yes! More efficient? Yes! It even came with a video to illustrate whats new.

I have the feeling this will be a common occurrence from here to kingdom come. At the very least I could see the UI change at least twice a year. There always seem to a need for efficiency these days and with just the flick of the D pad one can jump from clubs, friends, achievements to messages in seconds.

Even the pin tiles have a little bit more flexibility with the choice to modify, add or delete to one’s preference. Amazing that all of this was going on under the hood without a peep. Surprises of this magnitude are welcomed, I’m sure you’d agree. So if you want to join up to test such updates first hand, just download the Insider App via the Xbox store and sign up today.
