As of late I’ve noticed that genres in gaming such as space shooters have been on the decline in the realm of Xbox gaming. There seems to be an over abundance of first-person shooters these days and while I enjoy them ever so much I have this nostalgic yearning for a good solid horror game.
Hold up! you may say, there are many horror games out there on the market. True many horror games exist on the market today; as a matter of fact there is a sale for old horror/survival games on the Xbox market place as we speak. What’s missing though is a key ingredient to most horror games I’ve played as of late and that’s simply, “horror.”
Before moving forward let me state that Resident Evil V was a good horror game overall with it’s interesting characters and gore based creatures whom chased you down at the glance of an eye. I could go on and on about the great game play and suspense but that was about five years ago, maybe more or less. Point is, Resident Evil V has come and gone. What’s left then you may inquire? Well all is not lost.
A few weeks ago I was introduced to a game entitled Outlast. My thoughts were hey it’s only $20 and I’m low on gaming content at the moment so lets give it a try. Those thoughts proved fruitful and while I didn’t know it yet I was about to embarked on a jump out of the seat journey that will stay with me for years to come.
I could go on but I would like to show you for myself some of the surprises that are in store for those whom embark on this crazed quest for answers.
At this point in the game I was well into being settled into the series of coming and going events or at least that’s what I thought.
Anyway checkout Outlast it will by far outlast your needs to pick up another horror/survival game anytime soon.
